ITINERARY Day 1 Arrive Colombo; onto Kandy
Welcome to Sri Lanka! On arrival at the airport, you are met transferred to Kandy. Arrive & check in at your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour of Kandy – the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. The name Kandy conjures visions of a storied past, splendour, legend, folklore, mystery and traditions lovingly kept alive for countless years. Visit the Kandy Bazaar / market, a Gem museum and a lapidary. Also, visit the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, which were originally the pleasure gardens of the Royalty. Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this garden and it is encircled by the Mahaweli River. The focal point of the town is, without doubt, the golden roofed Dalada Maligwa or the Temple of the Tooth Relic where the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha is enshrined. Return to Kandy to enjoy an evening cultural show. Overnight at your hotel in Kandy.
Day 2 Kandy – Colombo
After breakfast proceed to Colombo, en route visiting the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela, which is a home to about 60 Elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Also, accompany the Elephants to a river close by to see them having their daily bath. Arrive Colombo & check-in at your hotel. This afternoon explore Colombo on a city tour. Colombo city tour covers the old Parliament, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), a Hindu Kovil, a Buddhist Temple, Observing the Galle Face Green and visit Fort Bazaar. Shopping is never an end in Colombo - visit House of Fashion, Majestic City shopping complex, ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique, Noritake Ceramic Showroom, Barefoot Gallery and Lakmedura Handicraft Centre. Day 3 Depart Colombo

Day 3 Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast at the hotel, visit a Tea Plantation and its Factory. Later tour the Sitha Eliya and Sitha Amman Kovil – a unique temple dedicated to princess Sita & believed to mark the spot where Sita was held captive by her abductor, King Ravana. Though an average visitor might feel that the location and its surrounded green land has nothing much to offer, archeologists have discovered giant foot steps – believed to be those of Hanuman. There is also a shrine to lord Hanuman within the kovil. Also visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens famous for roses, ferns, the orchid house and the summerhouse. This morning after breakfast, take a tour of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (a World Heritage Site) Ancient glory dazzles at Sigiriya, stupendous 5th century AD rock-fortress citadel of a fugitive king, where the history merges with melodrama. Some theories affirm that Sigiriya was a Mahayana Buddhist Monastery, or that it was both citadel and hermitage at different times. A gallery of frescos of shapely, be-jewelled maidens still glows with vibrant colour and the Water Gardens are unequalled anywhere on earth. Overnight at your hotel in Habarana.
Day 3 Habarana – Kandy
After breakfast transfer to Kandy – the last Royal Capital of Sri Lanka. Enroute visit Dambulla Cave Temple a World Heritage Site dating back to the 1st century BC. This 500 foot rock mass consists of a series of caves turned into shrines with numerous life size images of the Buddha and other Gods. The complex of five caves with over 20002 m of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. The most impressive is the 14 metre long statue of the Buddha. For Medical insurance for each passenger we have considered an upper age limit of 60 years. Should there be any passengers above 60 years; the cost of overseas medical insurance will be based upon the age of the person.
The airfare and the rate of exchange are subject to change with or without prior notice due to frequent fluctuations in the rate of exchange and airfare.

Our booking procedures would be as follows:-
As soon as you decide to confirm your holiday booking with Travel Bench, we would request you to please send us an initial non-refundable, interest free deposit amount of Rs. 12,000/- per person.
All cheques / demand drafts to be drawn in favour of Travel Bench, pune
On payment of this deposit amount, we shall start processing your booking
Balance payments need to be made 15 days prior to your departure date.
In case you decide to travel closer to the departure date or payment is made 10 days prior to your departure then the same will have to be paid in cash / bank draft.
We shall try our best to confirm the same hotel / airline that we have based our quotation upon. However the same would be subject to availability at the time of confirming your booking. We shall however ensure that we confirm a hotel of similar category.
We shall deliver your final tour documents viz. air tickets, tour itinerary, briefing sheet, medical insurance on receipt of full and final payment of the tour cost.
Rates are based on a minimum of 2 passengers travelling together at all times.
Child must share existing bedding in parents’ room
